Before I proceed, first it’s important to understand why this message showing.  You must have notice that the email are coming to the Outlook (2007/2010/2016), but any message are now going and sending a failure deliver message, error detail are as follows:

Error Message: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Additional Error Message: 503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA

Steps to Fix

  • Open Outlook
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Account Settings
    Outlook Account Settings
  • Double Click on Email
  • More Settings
  • Click on”Outgoing Server” tab
  • Click on Checkbox “My Outgoing Server (SMTP) required authentication, as shown below
    Click the checkbox my outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication
  • Click on OK button.

You are done.
